Bryn Kenney Wins 2017 PSC Bahamas $50k Single-Day High Roller for almost $1m

It's been a busy week so far at the 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas and today marked the start of Day 1B of the $5,000 buy-in Main Event and $50,000 buy-in single-day high roller (NLHE) event.

The single-day high roller tournaments have proved to be a great success in the past for PokerStars, and this time around a total of 69 entries were made creating a total prize pool of over $3,3 million.

Re-entries were allowed and American actor/comedian Kevin Hart was just one of the players who decided to fire two bullets worth $50,000 each, only to be eliminated before reaching the money.

"It's not going to happen this year, see y'all in the 25k," Hart said after busting out according to the PokerStars Blog. That means Hart has now lost already over $300,000 in the first two high roller tournaments he has played in the Bahamas, and might not be smiling as much anymore as he was in this picture few days ago:

Eventually it came down between Mustapha "lasagnaammm" Kanit and Bryn Kenney for the title. Usually these types of tournaments have ended in a chop, but not this time. Kanit wanted to gamble, but ended up losing the heads-up, taking home almost $700k. Kenney on the other hand added another $969k to his total live tournament earnings, that crossed over the $13 million mark thanks to this win.

Some other notable players who cashed in the event include Ben "Ben86" Tollerene (6th, $205,400) and Dan "mrGR33N13" Colman (4th, $341,240).

1 Bryn Kenney USA $969,075
