Trueteller is Tuesday's Biggest Winner after $1k/$2k 8-Game vs Sauce123
Russian phenom Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov was back at the top of Pokerstars high stakes leaderboard yesterday after beating Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky in a heads-up session at the $1k/$2k 8-game tables.
The pair played 226 hands over an hour and a quarter early yesterday evening at a single table. Sauce123 initially took the lead in the first few minutes but over the next 3/4 of an hour Trueteller went on a six-figure upswing, regaining the lead and taking a $95k advantage in the match. Sauce was able to wipe out a decent chunk of that advantage during the final half an hour of play, however, with Trueteller ending up just a $36,806 winner.
The only other player to even manage a five-figure win yesterday was 8superpoker who earned $12,985 from an hours pre-noon play at the $200/$400 FLHE tables playing against the likes of Debilne_Ucho, honeybee088, and Truelove13. In third place was XD89lol<3 with a $9.9k win at the $100/$200 8-Game tables, with Ignat "0Human0" Liviu taking 4th spot after a $9.3k win from an early morning win at the $50/$100 NLHE tables.
Although Tuesday didn't bring too much in the way of big nosebleed action, Wednesday is panning out a little differently as the $200/$400 NLHE tables have once more been ignited by the presence of multi-millionaire businessman Bill "GASTRADER" Perkins. At the time of writing prot0 has taken advantage of the sudden spurt of action and is up $166k. Perkins himself is actually showing a $25k profit with the games currently on hiatus so it looks like the sharks have been taking chunks out of each other rather than out of the whale thus far!
