Mikael "ChaoRen160" Thuritz Wins $88,182 in Mixed Games
It wasn't a good day for Alex "joiso" Kostritsyn as he took a near $90k beating from ChaoRen160 at PokerStars 8-Game tables
The biggest winner from yesterday's high stakes games over at PokerStars was Swedish pro Mikael "ChaoRen160" Thuritz who won $88,182 playing at the $400/$800 8-game tables against Russian star Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn.
Thuritz was ahead after just a few hands and he stayed on top throughout the 311 hand encounter, charting a fairly swift rise and exiting the table at his high point for the day.
The two mixed-game specialists played two sessions late yesterday afternoon, a 40 minute game at table Wazn III followed twenty minutes later by an hour long session at table Anhu. Thuritz won $51,760 at the first table, and another $36,422 at the second.
This is the fifth straight winning day for ChaoRen160 who is now back in the black for 2017, showing a $26k profit for the year. Prior to his recent upswing, the Swedish phenom was down six-figures between January and April.
The second biggest winner yesterday was Dutch pro Ravenswood13 who made a profit of $47,704 after a long day at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables, where he earned over $43.5k of his profit. He also won a little at the $100/$200 8-Game tables. In total Ravenswood13 put in over 1.6k hands yesterday and he is once again April's biggest winner so far with over $118k profit. With almost $800k profit, Ravenswood is also the biggest winner of the year to date.
Third place went to marvinnamazi who won $18,491 from 499 hands played at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables, with EEE27 in 4th place yesterday with a $16,133 profit, again from the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables.
The biggest pot of the day came from a three-handed $50/$100 NLHE game featuring LLinusLove, Sauce123, and hhecklen:
