Trueteller Wins $205k From Sauce123 at $1k/$2k 8-Game
It wasn't such a good day for Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky who's good 2017 took a turn for the worse yesterday at the hands of Trueteller
Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov put together his first big win in almost three weeks yesterday as he surged to a $205k profit after playing Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky at PokerStars $1k/$2k 8-Game tables.
The pair played for four and a half hours yesterday afternoon, playing a total of 713 hands and it was actually Sulsky who got off to the best start, opening up a $40k lead from the opening half an hour of play. This was as good as things got for Sauce123, however, as Trueteller quickly hit a near $200k upswing over the next 45 minutes to put himself well in the driving seat. Sauce did manage to halve his deficit over the next half an hour to bring his deficit down to the $80k mark but it was to be Trueteller's day as the Russian came on strong again, hitting another six-figure upswing to hit a peak of +$220k at the four hour mark. When the match ended, Trueteller finished the session up $204,952.
The match contained a few $40k CAP pots, the biggest of the day, all of them coming from the $250/$500 NLHE tables:
The players reach the $40k CAP preflop with Trueteller way ahead with AQ vs AJ although Sauce123 goes into a big lead on a Jack high flop. A Queen on the turn, however, is enough to send this $40k pot winging its way to Trueteller.
This big win send Trueteller back up to third spot on the 2017 leaderboard behind Ravenswood13 and RaulGonzales.
A long way behind in second spot on yesterday's leaderboard was UK pro Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane who made a $23,335 profit at the $25/$50 PLO tables where he played a combination of 6max and short-handed games across two hours late yesterday afternoon against the likes of Cobus83, Lateski, omaha4rollz, and Johnthefast.
In third place with an $11,557 profit was borntotilt, with his profit coming exclusively from the $25/$40 NLHE tables where he played a series of short sessions yesterday morning and evening. Fourth place went to Scarface.VLT with an $11,220 profit, again from the $25/$50 NLHE tables where he played for around an hour yesterday morning.
