The 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP) officially opens its doors Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino. While some players might still wait before arriving to Las Vegas, Gus Hansen announced his arrival already earlier this week.

Hansen shared the news on Facebook and via his Twitter account, which had been dormant for almost three years. According to Hansen, he didn't receive the best welcome after arriving to Las Vegas, as he was immediately taken to the back office on the border for extra questioning.

It's still unclear what WSOP events Hansen might play this year. The Great Dane has over $10 million in total live tournament winnings, but he has not been playing live tournaments since 2014, when he finished 71st in the EPT Eureka Main Event for $17,376.
