Viktor "Isildur1" Blom Reaches all-time High at PokerStars - up $3.26m

Isildur1 is currently the 6th biggest winner ever at PokerStars high stakes tables with oevr $3.26m in profit after yesterday's wins

Another day, another six-figure win for Viktor "Isildur1" Blom as he got the better of his opponents at both the PLO and 8-Game tables over at PokerStars yesterday for a $234,399 win. His latest win puts him up $1.75m since late last month, and up over $3.26m in total at PokerStars, his highest ever standing.

The majority of Blom's profit came from an early hours clash with ubersherms at the $200/$400 PLO tables, a match which featured the first six-figure pots we've seen at PokerStars since March (and there were three of them). The match ended with a $156k win for Isildur1. If you'd like a more in depth description of the action, we wrote about the match in one of yesterday's reports which you can find here

An unfortunate river gives ubersherms the second-nut straight. Isildur1 checks back the river after betting the flop and the turn and ubersherms bets for value, only to be check-raised all-in by his opponent. He calls, only to see that Isildur1 had already turned the nut straight - $155,438 pot

The remainder of Isildur1's profit yesterday came from yet another victory over German pro RaulGonzales at the $1k/$2k 8-Game tables.

The pair loaded up and played for another 10 hours. First they played a split session at table Jarmila II which started late morning for 1hr 20 mins followed by another 2 hours after a 15 minute break. Isildur1 won $57.4k in the first part of the session, and lost $61.7k in the second. With honours almost even the players took five before moving to table Simeisa III where they played for another 6.5 hours.

The final session proved profitable for Isildur1 who took the lead early in the match and was ahead for almost the entirety of the match. It wasn't all one-way traffic, however, as despite being down over $120k four hours into the match, RaulGonzales put up a spirited comeback to very briefly take the slightest of leads just an hour later. It wasn't to be for RG though as once again Isildur1 came back with a vengeance to take a $130k lead in the match with over six hours gone in the session. During the final 20 minutes Raul did manage a comeback of sorts, managing to reduce his deficit by $50k or so, and Isildur1 ended his matches at the 8-Game tables with a profit of $78,448, putting him up $234,399 for the day.

After yesterday's win, Isildur1 has now reached his highest ever profit mark from PokerStars high stakes cash games. Back in October 2015 he reach +$3.25m after an incredible couple of months saw him hit a $5m upswing. Over the next year he managed to lose close to $2m of that profit. He got a little back towards the tail-end of last year, but it's been his current $1.75m upswing which has landed him at his all time PokerStars high of +$3,261,799.
