WSOP 2017: Bubble Reached in £50k Poker Players Champ - Ike Haxton Leads

After three days of play, the bubble has burst in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship with the 100 starters now down to the final 15, all of whom are now guaranteed a minimum payout of $77,320. Currently leading the way is online crusher Isaac "philivet2694" Haxton with 3.268m chips.

Twenty-nine players fell by the wayside yesterday including two former PPC champions, David Bach and Michael Mizrachi. Mizrachi had started the day as one of the chip leaders but after escaping with his tournament life in a number of pots he eventually ended up as the unlucky bubble-boy, crashing out in 16th place after having to go in blind for his last 55k in a round of Limit Hold'em with {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and finding himself up against Ike Haxton's pocket Queen's.

jol Above: Michael Mizrachi was this year's PPC bubble-boy and his quest for a third PPC title must wait at least another year

Considering practically all of the players who busted on day 3 are big names I won't name them all, but they included the likes of Phil Galfond, Jason Mercier, Justin Bonomo, Mike Sexton, Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn, Anthony Zinno, and Michael's brother Robert Mizrachi.

One former champ who did make it to day 4 was Matthew "MUSTAFABET" Ashton, who ended the day just behind Haxton, with 3.22m with Shaun Deeb, Paul Volpe, Daniel Negreanu, and Elior "Crazy Elior" Sion all sitting with over 2m chips occupying places 3-6.

Old schoolers Ralph Perry and Mike Matusow are currently propping up the bottom end of the remaining players, and they will need to come out firing later today if they want to be in with a chance of remaining for day 5.
