Isildur1 Back On Top After $232k Win

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was back on top of PokerStars high stakes leaderboard this morning after winning $232,374 after a long day at the nosebleeds.

Blom won around $20k just after midnight from a short stint in a $50/$100 PLO ring game before retiring for the evening. He was back around lunch time when he played a split session of $1k/$2k 8-Game against Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn. Isildur1 won $13.5k from the first hour long session but when they reconvened about an hour laterhe  went on to lose over $95k in just 40 minutes before wrapping the session up.

After an hour and a half's break, Isildur1 returned to the tables to take on AmSoGood again at the $200/$400 tables. Blom had won over $100k from the same opponent on Thursday, and this time he managed to win even more. The pair played for 2hr 2mins, playing two tables at a time (3 in total) with Isildur1 winning at every table for a combined profit of $180k. Here is the biggest pot from their match:

Cooler for AmSoGood in this flopped set-over-set encounter, with Isildur1 even making quads on teh second run of the turn and river - $107.1k pot

Actually, $5k of the $180k Isildur1 won during that PLO session came from Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov who briefly joined AmSoGood and Isildur1 at one of the tables before leaving them to their heads-up match, but it was Trueteller from whom Isildur1 captured the remainder of his winnings for the day.

After another hour break, Isildur1 and Trueteller got together early evening at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables for an up and down hour long match. Within the space on an hour Isildur1 had gone up $100k then lost it all back from Trueteller to take a $30k advantage, with Isildur1 eventually managing a $7k profit from the 223 hands played.

The players then switched to two tables of $200/$400 PLO where they played for a little under half an hour. Once again it was Isildur1 who came out on top, winning three +$100k pots on his way to a $108k win. The biggest pot of the day is shown below:

Trueteller's three pairs and a gutshot straight draw are no match for Isildur1's turned nut straight as he takes down this $127.8k pot
