Art Papazyan has won his second World Poker Tour title this year after taking down the WPT Maryland Main Event yesterday.

Just a while ago, Art Papazyan managed to outlast Phil Hellmuth in the heads-up play to win the WPT Legends of Poker Main Event for his first-ever WPT title. Now, around five weeks later the U.S. pro won already his second career WPT title.

However, Papazyan is not the only player who has managed to win multiple World Poker Tour titles during the tour's long history. He is now the eight player to do so, as players like Gus Hansen (Season I), Howard Lederer (Season I), Erick Lindgren (Season II) and Tuan Le (Season III) have managed to win more than one title in earlier seasons.

Papazyan topped a field of 561 entries to score the $389,405 top prize plus an extra $15,000 in cash, because he had already won earlier his $15,000 seat to the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.

“I feel like this is not even real. Who would have thought I play my first WPT and I win against Phil Hellmuth? Then I play my second WPT, I come to Maryland across the country, and I win again? I would never have thought in my wildest dreams that this would ever happen. I’m so happy it did,” Papazyan told WPT.com after the win.
