Isildur1 Makes a $170k Comeback After a Poor Two Weeks

Over the past 2.5 weeks fan favourite Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has been slowly but surely depleting his bankroll over at PokerStars, losing over $230k since 3rd November. However, he made a decent chunk of those losses back yesterday as he ended the day with a $168,477 profit after success at PokerStars 8-Game tables.

The day didn't start too brightly for Isildur1 as he lost $24k in his first two outings at the $400/$800 8-Game tables to Dutch pro Ravenswood13. He also lost his last morning session, again at the $400/$800 tables, dropping a further $8.8k in four minutes to German rival RaulGonzales.

An hour later, however, and Isildur1 came back to the $400/$800 tables for a 4.5 hour heads-up rematch with Ravenswood13. This time it was a different story as Isildur1 lead almost from the start, reaching a peak of +$134k after 3.5 hours. He eventually settled for a $90,409 profit from the match, putting him nicely back in the black for the day.

His biggest win though came from a 3 hour heads-up session against RaulGonzales which began late afternoon at the $1k/$2k 8-game tables. Once again it was all Isildur1 from the start as he worked his way towards a peak of +$126k a little under two hours into the match. Raul did manage a $60k comeback over the next hour, but the game belonged to Isildur1, who won back close to $50k during the final half an hour of play to end the session up $110,660, and the day up $168,477.

Second on yesterday's highstakes leaderboard was Dutch pro Jordi "prot0" Urlings who played over 1k hands of NLHE between the $25/$50 up to the $200/$400 tables, ending the day with a $58,812 profit. Urlings played from early morning through to early evening with a few short breaks, playing in short-handed and 6max line-ups. Urlings made his biggest table profit of $24,355 from a morning session at table Patria. The biggest pot of the day also came from this session, although prot0 was not involved in the hand.
