RaulGonzales Hits Straight Back at Isildur1 with $212k Win

After losing six-figures to Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in Sunday's high stakes games at PokerStars, German pro RaulGonzales didn't waste anytime in redressing the balance. In fact he more than made up for the $117k loss as he ended yesterday with a $212,481 profit.

Most of RaulG's profit came back at the $1k/$2k 8-Game tables against Isildur1. The pair played at one table with a couple of breaks, with RaulGonzales winning every time they played. Isildur1 started off the brightest, going $50k up within the first half an hour of their initial 70 minute match yesterday afternoon. However, RaulGonzales took back control in a big way, winning over $140k over the next 45 minutes to end the session up $90,391. After a 40 minute break the pair were back at the same table and after a swingy hour or so of play, RaulG once again took control, ending the 90 minute session up another $53k. Isildur1 came back once more but only hung around for three more hands where he lost another $8k before quitting for the day. Once some earlier wins were taken into account, Isildur1 ended the day down $125,879 - so he is still up over $40k since Sunday.

Meanwhile RaulGonzales was able to add to his already decent sized win with some other victories at the 8-Game and PLO tables. He won $20k at the $400/$800 8-Game tables against tastyterps and then a further $40k at the $200/$400 PLO tables after some $40k flips with JayP-AA.

Second on yesterday's leaderboard we find Belarusian NLHE phenom fish2013 who won $66,821 at the $50/$100 tables from four hours of play in the early hours of yesterday morning. He also won the day's biggest pot:

jayaprakashj makes a highly suspect play on the flop and after improving from absolutely nothing to an open-ended straight draw on the turn feels compelled to go with his hand. fish2013 makes an easy call with top pair and a flush draw and takes down this $58,559 pot

In third place was Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov who continues his rich vein of form, adding another $63,140 to his bankroll after some successful outings at the $100/$200 NLHE tables against LLinusLLove and limitless yesterday lunchtime.

Completing yesterday's top four was GiveMeUp who won $51,287 from 458 hands played across morning and evening sessions at the 6max $25/$50 and $50/$100 NLHE tables
