It turns out Erik Seidel is not just good at playing poker, but also as a teacher and coacher.

Seidel, who has been the inspiration for New York Times best-selling author Maria Konnikova's new book, The Biggest Bluff, has managed to coach Konnikova to be a true poker winner in less than a one year.

Indeed, Konnikova recently managed to beat a field of 290 players in a $1,650 buy-in event at the 2018 PCA, earning close to $85,000. Konnikova also earned Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship next January, worth $30,000.

"I never thought that this would happen. I wanted it to, and I was working really, really, hard, but it's just kind of incredible. It feels so validating to achieve this,"  Konnikova said after winning her first major live title.

Konnikova also praised Seidel for his coaching and said he is "the best coach in the world". Konnikova's poker book is expected to be released at the end of this year and will surely be a must-read for every poker fan out there.
