Salvatore Ribbera Wins the first ANTON ring of the 2018 Aussie Millions

The first 2018 Aussie Millions winner has been crowned after local player Salvatore Ribbera outlasted a field of 49 players in Event #2: $2,500 H.O.R.S.E on Friday.

Riberra nearly doubled his career earnings to around US$80,000 after winning the event for A$39,700 ($31,852). It was also his biggest live cash so far.

The final table featured also some experienced pros like UK's Richard Ashby, better known as "CHUFTY" in the online world. Ashby final tabled this same event last year when he finished 3rd. However, this time around the UK pro made a quicker exit as he finished 5th for A$8,825.

Next up at the 2018 Aussie Millions will be events like the $1,150 Pot-Limit Omaha and fourth flight of the $1,150 Opening Event ($1 Million Guaranteed). The AU$10,600 buy-in Main Event and all the biggest high roller events are scheduled to start late next week. See the full schedule here.
