Isildur1 Wins $220k at $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom enjoyed his first six-figure cash game win of the year yesterday, taking $220k from German pro donthnrmepls in a late afternoon/early evening session at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

Unfortunately the hands from the first half of the match were missed by our tracking but it would appear that Blom took the initiative from the start of the match, quickly rushing to a near $100k lead. donthnrmepls did stage a brief comeback, almost levelling the stacks (although not the match) around an hour into the match, but Isildur1 soon picked up the pace and surged towards a $200k stack.

Despite a couple more mini-comebacks, donthnrmepls couldn't really make a dent in Isildur1's stack and eventually the Swedish pro pushed on to a $200k profit.

Soon after, donthnrmepls quit the table, although he did come back for one more hand after Isildur1 reminded him in chat that he owed him a button. The German pro wasn't too impressed considering he was so much down but he did come back to play the final hand which ended in a another $14k pot lost to a rampant Isildur1.

Second place on yesterday's leaderboard went to Maahone who won $53,203 after some profitable sessions at the $50/$100 NLHE and PLO tables. He won $20k across two tables over fifty minutes yesterday morning at NLHE against LLinusLLove, prot0, and underO before moving across to PLO where he won another $33k after playing for five hours at the $50/$100 PLO tables against the likes of Jeans89, ActionFreak, ImagineKing, St1ckman, and PINGUWARRIOR.

The biggest pot of the day also occurred during these PLO sessions;

All round cooler for St1ckman who gets it all in with a pair of Kings and a King high flush draw. ImagineKing calls with a pair of Aces and an Ace high flush draw. The Aces hold in the first run of the turn and river and the flush comes on the second sending this $34.9k pot to ImagineKing

Just $59 behind Maahone with a $52,144 profit we find ActionFreak who made all of his profit during the same morning/early afternoon sessions as Maahone. He put in over 1.5k hands, showing a profit at 5 of the 7 tables he played. In fourth place on PokerStars high stakes leaderboard yesterday is 2018's biggest winner to date, Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane who made yet another tidy profit of $31,305 playing in some $50/$100 PLO matches later in the evening.
