Vanessa Selbst Retires From Poker, Enters Poker Tournament Two Weeks Later

Poker retirement annoucements have become a some kind of joke in the poker community and it looks like Vanessa Selbst's recent retirement announcement was no different.

Maybe the best example is Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz and his retirement announcement, which basically meant the German high-stakes pro continued to play the biggest high roller tournaments with outstanding results.

Selbst announced her retirement from professional poker on New Year’s Eve and received farewells from fellow poker pros from all over the world.

Heck, even Mr. Patrik Antonius took some time from his busy Monaco-schedule to send out happy wishes to Selbst:

So you might imagine that some players were irritated after Selbst announced on Twitter, that she was back playing two weeks later. Players like Daniel Shak and Joseph Cheong were just few names to drop in and send their regards via Twitter:
