Isildur1 Wins Six Figures at Triple Draw & 8-Game

The biggest winner from Monday's highstakes games at PokerStars was fan favourite Viktor "Isildur1" Blom who ended the day up $122,229 after wins at the Triple Draw and 8-Game tables.

Over the past couple of days Isildur1 has been taking on regular 2-7 Triple Draw opponent, German pro donthnrmepls. On Sunday he let a $100k lead slide, ending the day with a small loss, and yesterday the pair were back at it, once again at the $1k/$2k tables.

After losing $11k in a short (15 minute) morning session, Isildur1 met with donthnrmepls for another short (16 minute) session early in the afternoon with Isildur1 this time winning $47k from just 36 hands.

Although our tracking missed the start of their next battle, which began at around 6.15pm server time we know that Isildur1 ended up losing $66k in around half an hour. However, he was more than able to make up for this after the players switched tables, engaging in a 4 hour, 800 hand session. Isildur1 started winning from the start of their final session, reaching a peak of nearly +$160k before taking a hit towards the end of the match which he ended with a $115,396 profit.

Earlier in the evening Isildur1 also experienced a $44k win at the 8-Game tables vs another regular German foe, RaulGonzales. Although we didn't track this result the amount he profited was very similar to the amount he lost during the untracked 2-7 Triple Draw session, meaning that our overall results for the day are fairly accurate (if anything, Isildur1's true profit for the day is a few thousand more than tracked).

Second on yesterday's leaderboard was BigBlindBets who came close to a six-figure win, posting a $97,898 profit from a busy morning at the NLHE tables.

BigBlindBets played at a total of 12 tables of $25/$50 and $50/$100, putting in close to 2k hands in a straight 9.5hr session from midnight onwards. In fact, BigBlindBets actually played a 10.5hr session as he started playing an hour before midnight, and his total profit from the entire session was just over $100k.

These were by no means the biggest NLHE games which took place yesterday as online legends Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov and Jonas "OtB_RedBaron" Mols battled it out for three hours yesterday afternoon heads-up at the $200/$400 NLHE tables, resulting in a $52k win for Trueteller - although previous losses during the day meant that the Russian pro only ended the day with a $36,037 profit. The heads-up match with OtB was responsible for all of the day's biggest pots:

By rights Trueteller should have left the table with a far bigger profit but somehow he manages to lose on both runs of the board after getting it all-in preflop with AA against OtB_RedBaron's KK. The Baron manages to flop a King on both runs, handing him the entire $157.4k pot

However, about ten minutes prior to the above pot, Trueteller had been able to put a decent cooler on OtB_RedBaron for a sizeable pot.

OtB_RedBaron flops trip Queens with an ace kicker only for Trueteller to flop  9's full of Queens to take this $136.5k pot

In third place on yesterday's leaderboard was another player from the $25/$50 and $50/$100 NLHE ring games was huang33 put in nearly 1.3k hands throughout the day to end up with a $62,363 profit. Rounding out yesterday's top four was PLO specialist Grazvis1 who put in 787 hands at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables from midday to late last night, resulting in a $43,632 profit.
