RaúlGonzalez Wins $100k Against Isildur1

It didn't take long for Viktor "Isildur1" Blom to dust off his six-figure win from Monday's high stakes games at PokerStars as he took on German pros RaúlGonzalez and donthnrmepls yesterday at the $1k/$2k Triple Draw and 8-Game tables, with most of his earlier winnings fattening the bankroll of RaúlGonzalez.

Isildur1 and RaúlGonzalez kicked things off with an hour session at a single $1k/$2k 8-Game table with honours even for the first 45 minutes before the German pro won running hands towards the end of the session, enabling him to leave the 189 hands session with a $52,150 profit.

The pair then moved straight over to a $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables where they played for a further 36 minutes. There was no change in fortune for Blom, however, as RaúlGonzalez proceeded to win a further $48,698 from 79 hands to finish the day with a $100,848.

This wasn't the end of Isildur1's woes for the day as after a two hour absence he was back at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables, this time against Monday's losing rival donthnrmepls. Blom and his German opponent played for an hour and forty minutes, and for the first half of the match it was all going Isildur1's way as he worked up a $75k lead. Once again, though, the Swedish phenom couldn't keep his winnings and a six-figure upswing for donthnrmepls meant that he was able to take back his losses and end the 323 hand session with a $35,536 profit, enough to secure him second place on yesterday's highstakes leaderboard.

Third place went to last years biggest winner, PLO specialist BERRI SWEET after a $32,141 win over Russian pro Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov at a single $100/$200 table.

The pair played for an hour and a half yesterday morning, with Trueteller winning for the majority of the match, where he reached a high point of +$90k after an hour's play. BERRI SWEET came back strong during the final half an hour though to not only eradicate his losses but to also end the 146 hand session with a decent profit of his own. His final ascent was rapid and we won his three biggest pots of the day over the course of just a few minutes, including the biggest pot of the day;

Trueteller tries to steal the pot with a large river bet  of over $32k but is caught out with what have been a completely useless hand as he folds to a shove from BERRI SWEET, despite getting odds of 40:1 to call! $97k pot.

Another PLO player took fourth on yesterday's leaderboard with Grazvis1's $26,520 coming from 392 hands played at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables over the course of 3.5 hours yesterday evening.
