Sauce123 Wins $90,770 & Isildur1 Lets a Big Win Slip

The biggest winner from PokerStars high stakes tables yesterday was US online legend Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky who ended the day with a $90,770 profit.

Sulsky made his money from a heads-up $100/$200 PLO match against Swedish pro BERRI SWEET. The pair played three-tables simultaneously for two hours and forty minutes from late yesterday morning until early afternoon.

After the first hour BERRI SWEET was forging a path and established a $45k lead in the match before the momentum shifted as the American pro took down several of the days biggest pots as he charted an upward trajectory throughout the remainder of the match. Sauce's upswing was helped along as he took down the biggest pot of the day:

Sauce123 turns the stone-cold nuts and is able to get paid off on the river - $52.3k pot

The PLO tables also provided the second biggest winner yesterday with ActionFreak posting a $33,163 win after playing at the $25/$50, $50/$100, and $100/$200 tables. His biggest table win of $27,321 came from half an hour's play at a 6max $100/$200 table early yesterday evening where he played against Grazvis1, EEE27, Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro, and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom.

It was PLO all the way as third place went to UK PLO regular Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane who finished up with a $26,184 profit, mainly from the $50/$100 6max tables where he put in several hours yesterday evening. Rounding out the top four we see World Scrabble Champ and long time high stakes poker pro David "Deldar182" Eldar who won $19,243 from 780 hands at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables from the morning and evening sessions.

It looked as the the day's biggest winner was all set to be fan favourite Isildur1 who hit a high point of +$170k for the day before ending up a $46k loser for the day. He got off to a great start against German foe RaulGonzales, winning $135k yesterday morning between the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw and 8-Game tables. In the early afternoon Blom dropped $65k to RG during another mixed game session but after a short break and a change of table he started to look in control of proceedings at he took a $130k lead in their next mixed-game session late afternoon.

It wasn't to be, however, as RaulGonzales hit a quick upswing to almost level the session. Isildur1 rose a little again when the pair changed back to Triple Draw, winning $32k from a 25 minute session. At this point Blom was still up around $100k for the day. However, after losing $27k from a 40 minute session at the $100/$200 PLO tables he went back to the 2-7 tables against RaulGonzales where he ended up a $112k loser in just half an hour. This win enabled RaulGonzales to end the day with a $16,750 profit while Isildur1 lost $46k (including his PLO losses).
