Fuchs And Fleck Seeking First Female Victory in $10k H.O.R.S.E.

Female players have yet to make a really big impact at this years World Series, but that could all change tonight when Carol Fuchs and Katherine Fleck both return for the final day of the $10k H.O.R.S.E. event – Fuchs chasing her second bracelet having taken down the 2015 $1500 Dealers Choice event…

Both women are already guaranteed a $17,677 payday for reaching the last 16, a sum which would instantly put them into the top 5 female cashers at this year’s WSOP, although Kate Hoang’s $152,302 at the top of the list would require a 3rd spot or better to overcome.

Hoang ran very close to her own first-ever bracelet, narrowly losing out to Julien Martini last week in the $1500 Omaha hi-lo 8 or better

There are a number of other hopefuls standing between Fuchs and Fleck’s title ambitions, most notably John Hennigan, sitting in 3rd in chips, David "Bakes" Baker and Anthony Zinno, all with proven WSOP track records…

…although the trio of Phil Ivey, Jason Mercier and Chris Ferguson couldn’t quite last the day two pace and fell not far short of the money.
