Ivey, Hellmuth and Negreanu Book $1 Million Seats For Big One

As has become tradition that The Big One for One Drop drops in at the WSOP every other year. After taking a year out to travel around Europe in 2016 the biennial $1 million buy-in tournament will return to the Rio on the 15th of July.

8% of the tournament prize pool will go to the One Drop charity that aims to provide sustainable clean water to people who don’t have it. The WSOP will be treating 2014’s champ Daniel Coleman as the defender as he was the last person to win this as a bracelet event.

So far 30 players have paid the $50,000 deposit on their milly according to the one drop so we will definitely be seeing Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, Dominik Nitsche, Steffen Sontheimer, Christoph Vogelsang, Nick Petrangelo, Rainer Kempe, Jason Koon, Adrian Mateos and Bryn Kenney.

One Drop have also announced that Businessmen Talal Shakerchi and Leon Tsoukernik and “businessman” Rick Salomon will be playing too.

With a cap of 48 players in the tournament it will be interesting to see who else will be rocking up to take on such a scary field for so much money of the next month or so.
