Chance Kornuth Scoops WSOP Online High Roller for $341,598

Chance Kornuth was the last man standing in yesterdays $3,200 buy-in WSOP.com ONLINE High Roller, scooping his 2nd bracelet and $341,598 in an event that took a little under 12 hours from start to finish and launched Kornuth into the record books…

In only the second running of the online high-roller at the WSOP, 480 entries combined to produce a very healthy $1,459,200 prizepool, numbers way up on last year’s event and meaning that 63 of the 356 unique players would be in the money, although big names such as Brian ‘tsarrast’ Rast and Anthony ‘heheh’ Zinno would miss out on a payday.

Kornuth, however, had a lucky mascot of sorts, wife Emily a big fan of her husband’s game both before…

 

 

…and after his historic win, Kornuth’s online nickname on WSOP.com – bing shui – being Chinese for ‘ice water’ for those who don’t quite get the tweet…

 

 

With very close to $6million in live tournament earnings, and a ‘live’ WSOP bracelet already to his name, Kornuth was desperate to add an online version – his heads-up opponent David ‘bewater’ Goodman coincidentally bearing a similar nickname…

 

 

…and at 3am Vegas time the jewellery was Kormuth’s, although it’s almost certain the following tweet wasn’t live footage of his victory!
