Earlier in the year the Belarus player – who has almost single-handedly put his native country on the poker map – took down the Montenegro Main Event, defeating Rui Cao heads-up to lift the $2,499,185 top prize, and yesterday it was Malaysia’s Wai Chan Leong who stood between Mikita and double-glory…

Final table results

1 Mikita Badziakouski $5,255,077
2 Chan Wai Leong $3,251,141
3 Richard Yong $2,130,058
4 Samuel Greenwood $1,471,421
5 Jason Koon $1,079,042
6 Sergio Aido $826,799
