Van Hoof and Drinan Land Massive WCOOP Scores

Sundays are traditionally the biggest days on the online poker schedule, but Jorryt TheCleaner11 Van Hoof and Connor blanconegro Drinan proved that midweek grinds are not too bad either, with massive high-roller WCOOP wins apiece…

First up came Van Hoof’s $465,559 win in the $25k PLO 6-max, a payday accounting for just over half of PokerStars’ WCOOP payouts on Friday, the Dutchman who claimed 3rd spot and $3.8million in the WSOP Main Event back in 2014 challenged all the way by a Finnish trio led by Sami ‘lrslzk’ Kelopuro

Thursday’s big WCOOP news was dominated by Connor ‘blanconegro’ Drinan’s take down of the $10k Progressive KO, his bounty win dwarfing the rest of the prizemoney as he claimed $222,460 – almost 4 times the bounty booty of second-placed Rui ‘RuiNF’ Ferreira – and legends of the game including Daniel ‘w00ki3z’ Cates left trailing in his wake…

The other big news to emerge from the non-stop online action was the ‘triple salchow’ of Russian pro ‘aDrENalin710’ – ‘three WCOOP titles at three different buy-in levels, and in three different poker disciplines’ as the PokerStars blog put it…

With the weekend tables well underway, we’ll be back on Monday with all the best of the Sunday grinds and big festival action…
