The destination of the first of this years WSOPE gold bracelets has been decided after Israels Tamir Segal saw off the European challenge at the final table of the €550 Colossus to walk off with the jewellery - and €203,820  - at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov…

Segal had returned for the final day’s play 5th in chips from the ten who survived a brutal process elimination from the original 2992 entries, each man having sewn up at least €13,410, the top two at the end of the day looking at 6-figure scores – Segal moving way out in front by the time half the players had hit the rails…

It would turn out to be overnight chip leader Wojciech Wyrebski who would push Segal all the way to the heads-up match for the title, though he would begin far behind in the chip stakes…

…and the end when it came was a swift execution, a pre-flop raise, shove and call ending in a fine flop for the Israeli…and the title.
