Last week, the European stop of the World Series of Poker returned to its usual venue, the Kings Casino & Hotel in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. Almost €1.5 million was rewarded in the first event, the COLOSSUS; the action continued with a €1,650 buy-in tournament, the NLHE 6-handed Deepstack event.

Although, because of the smaller field (221 entries), the prize pool was not as hefty as for the first event (€318,000) some big names from the poker world still bought in. 4-time WSOP bracelet winner Shaun Deeb was among them, so was the infamous Chris “Jesus” Ferguson - last year’s WSOP Player of the Year - as well as online poker heavyweight Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier.

The winner, however, ended up being Asi Moshe from Israel. He’s no newbie to the game either - with this latest score, he has over $2.1 million in live tournament earnings which includes a WSOP golden bracelet from the 2015 $1,500 NLHE Event.

Moshe started his heads-up battle for the title against Robert Shulz with a healthy, over 3:1 chip lead. Eventually, he managed to close the deal after he moved all-in from the button with A4 off-suit and Schulz decided to call for his remaining 12BB stack with K8 off-suit. Neither players hit anything on the board, which meant the tournament concluded with Moshe’s victory.

Final table results:

1 Asi Moshe €82,280
2 Robert Schulz €50,842
3 James Bullimore €33,149
4 Giuliano Bendinelli €22,210
5 Van Tiep Nguyen €15,303
6 Viktor Katzenberger €10,852
