Michael Addamo Wins WSOPE €25k Super High Roller For €848,702

Australias Michael Addamo seized the €25,500 No-Limit Holdem Super High Roller title at the WSOP Europe in the early hours of this morning, the exhausted Aussie making a lifetime best score of €848,702 ($965,475) after seeing off a wealth of big name stars at the Kings Casino in Rozvadov…

A total of 133 entries made it one of the biggest and most lucrative $25k tournaments of the year, defending champ Niall Farrell joined by superstars of the high-roller game such as David Peters, Adrian Mateos and Mikita Badziakouski  - the likes of Paul Phua, Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson, Liv Boeree and Kristen Bicknell all in the stacked field fighting for massive paydays…

Addamo ought to have been running on fumes come the deep end of play on day 2, arriving late to the start of the event and not having much sleep in between bagging the chip lead and finally seeing off Germany's Christian Rudolph as the clock ticked close to 6am.

“I’m definitely gonna catch up on some sleep now,” he told reporters afterwards, and with another two high rollers and the Main Event still to come, he may well need it!
