Tom Dwan Spotted Playing Aria Cash Games

Meeting your heroes can sometimes be a bit of a letdown, but WSOP Main Event champion John Cynn seems happy enough sharing a table with Tom durrrr Dwan – despite Dwan being barely recognisable!

The big game at the Aria is ‘broke living’ Bellande’s home from home, but getting Dwan to play is a bit of a scoop, the enigmatic legend of the felt making rare appearances these days – and it was his appearance that attracted most comment.

  • When you spend 10 years living at night and sleeping during the day
  • Lol did you photoshop Durrr? He made the full transition from Vampire skin to Devil skin?

One sharp-eyed critic also spotted what looked like a cast on Dwan’s right wrist, asking ‘Did the triads break Dwans arm?!’ – a reference to ‘durrrr’s disappearance’ for a couple of years in Macau.

The sight of this year’s Main Event champ in such illustrious company also garnered comment: “John Cynn taking down the Main Event and immediately starts to play the biggest Games there is. Must be an welcoming Guest (sic)”

Cynn’s $8.8million win this summer would certainly allow him to play these big games – for a while at least – but with what looks like $250k in front of Dwan, and Jason Koon also getting in on the action to Dwan’s left -  it might not last long!
