Rick Salomon Leads the Pros Chasing $10.8million in SHRB

The last player added to the Super High Roller Bowl list of 36 players was Hollywood producer/actor Rick Salomon and it is his name topping the leaderboard after day 1 of the $300,000 buy-in supertournament

A field of the finest and richest poker players in the game started out yesterday chasing a $10.8million prizepool, with a staggering $3,672,000 awaiting the winner – and Daniel Negreanu was well to the fore.

The Canadian PokerStars pro made one of the best laydowns seen in recent times, folding the nut straight on the river, to keep his dreams alive of going one better than his excellent runner-up spot in this May’s SHRB.

Nine players fell at the first hurdle, the German trio of Vogelsang, Sontheimer and Nitsche all hitting the rail, Sontheimer in particular less than impressed...…

...highroller experts Cary Katz and Jake Schindler joining them, but the remaining 27 is like a who’s-who of the poker world, Hellmuth, Bonomo and Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates all still in with a shout.

With day 2 kicking off this evening, Ali Imsirovic is actually the effective chip leader – two 100k add-ons still to be used
