World Cup of Cards at PPC in Canada Features Over $1.4 Million GTD

The third running of the World Cup of Cards will take place at the Playground Poker Club in Quebec from January 20 through February 6 and feature more than $1.4 million USD in guaranteed prize money.

A total of 29 events are on the WCC schedule including the CA$220 buy-in Grand Prix Canada that will pay out at least CA$500,000 ($370,000 USD). Players can qualify online at partypoker for the Grand Prix Canada at any one of five starting flights beginning Jan. 20 or choose from 12 live starting flights that commence on Jan. 23.

Another featured event is the CA$1,650 WPT Deepstacks that guarantees CA$750,000 ($555,000 USD). That's the priciest tournament on the packed schedule that features buy-ins to suit all bankrolls among the more than two dozen events.

A nice mix of games include Short Deck Poker, Crazy Pineapple, Bounties, PLO, Seniors, Women's and a Tag Team tournament that will kick off the festival. Players can buy into these and all the other events at partypoker using PP LIVE Dollars.

There are always PP LIVE Dollar satellites running at partypoker at a wide range of buy-ins. In addition to tournament entry fees, the currency can be used for hotel and travel expenses for partypoker LIVE events around the world.
