Running from December 23 through January 6, a massive 201 events are on the schedule, all of them to be played under a freezeout format. That's a breath of fresh air for players who dislike re-entry events that tend to give an edge to the more skilled players who can shoot a few bullets while aiming for the final table and a big payday.

Only one bullet will be permitted throughout the 15 days of the Christmas Freeze. Two of those days - Christmas Eve and New Years Eve - have no tournaments scheduled, giving players an opportunity to enjoy the holidays.

Buy-ins for the Christmas Freeze come in all sizes, ranging from $3.30 up to $1,050. The tournament formats are also a wide mix that include 6-Max, 8-Max, Mix-Max, and Knockout events. Players who favor Pot Limit Omaha have not been forgotten, with a variety of PLO action on the Christmas Freeze schedule as well.

Christmas Advent

The Christmas Freeze Series at partypoker begins just as the Christmas Advent promotion is winding down. Players who have been logging on since Dec. 1 have had an opportunity to win prizes each day that include MTT tickets, a Sportsbet Bonus, or Cashback points.

The Christmas Advent promo ends on Christmas Day, but not before partypoker plays the role of Santa and awards a special gift to opted in players. That Xmas gift is rumored to be an amazing tournament package!

Upcoming 2019 Series'

A peek at the partypoker MTT schedule for the beginning of 2019 finds that a new KO Series kicks off on January 20 and will run through February 3. Players will be vying for $20 million in guaranteed prize money - and a lot more by knocking out their opponents and collecting the progressive bounty.

Following the KO Series, partypoker will launch another Monster Series that features small buy-ins and large prize pools. That festival is scheduled for Feb. 24 through March 3 and guarantees $3 million in prize money.

Powerfest IX takes center stage from March 24 through April 7. The flagship tournament series at partypoker is set to pay out $30 million GTD. It's an awesome 2019 lineup to be sure, but first in the pipeline is the Christmas Freeze that starts Sunday, Dec. 23.
