Partypoker’s $10million Christmas Freeze Sees $1.3million Final Day

Partypokers Christmas Freeze reached its lucrative conclusion yesterday, the last of the 201 tournaments and over $10million in prizemoney handed out – with $1.33million shared among the final 17 events…

The massive festive series has been running since December 23rd and the biggest winner of yesterday’s culmination was Kosovo’s ‘rrinKS’ who scooped not only $24,006 for victory in the Christmas Freeze #48-HR: $200K Gtd PKO Fast event, but also a chunk of bounties worth a further $28,600, bringing the payday to $52,606.

That bounty figure was the biggest by far, with Colette1986 taking 8th spot but the second-biggest bounty for almost $8.5k in total in the $1050 buy-in tournament.

The biggest guarantee of the final push was seen in the Christmas Freeze #46-HR: $300K Gtd PKO, a $530 buy-in event with 72 places paid from the 532 entries.

Hungary’s ErzsiASas edged out Swedish challenger petdet3ctive for the title after a heads-up deal, and the next three finishers also cleared 5-figure sums for their bankroll.

The Progressive KO format was proving hugely popular and the 2049 entrants in the $200 version boosted the prizepool above the $200k guarantee.

This time it was Brazilian online grinder AntoinCaraPreta who scooped the biggest share of the money, victory worth a combined $26,573, made up of $17,110 in prize money and $9,463 from the bounty prize pool.

Russian player papakerzh won’t be too unhappy with his $12,058 consolation prize for second spot, especially as $5,039 in bounties was added to his winnings.

Sunday High Rollers

The normal Sunday grind was also taking place, the first of 2019, and the $2600 buy-in SHR drew 244 entries, exceeding the guarantee by a huge margin as expected.

Despite several Canadians running deep in the eight hours plus of action, it was USA’s ‘doster’ who emerged triumphant, scooping the $118,950 top prize ahead of ‘wsfosu’ who collected $91,129 for his troubles.

Moving onto the $1050 version of the SHR and it was a USA 1-2-3 when ‘talk2mejohnny’ walked off with just a touch over $40k after a final table deal. ‘Kentuck7113’ and ‘latemodle08’ were his closest rivals, the top nine all scoring 5-figure paydays.
