Nikita “Mikita” Bodyakovskiy Earns Team partypoker Sponsorship

Partypoker made yet another outstanding choice by selecting Nikita Bodyakovskiy as its newest ambassador.

The Belarus native, more commonly known in the poker world as “Mikita,” had an incredible year on the felt in 2018, amassing live tournament winnings of $14,563,871. That total was second-best for the entire year, with Bodyakovskiy trailing only the $25,428,935 earned by Justin Bonomo.

Mikita's big scores in 2018 included winning $5,257,027 in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Main Event in Jeju, and another nearly $2.5 million at another Triton SHR Main Event in Montenegro.

A victory in the EPT €100K Super High Roller in Barcelona was good for $1.9 million. Bodyakovskiy added $1.6 million more to his bankroll with a 4th place finish in the Aria Super High Roller Bowl last May.

$20 Million Man

His career cashes now total more than $20 million, putting Bodyakovskiy way ahead of his fellow countrymen. The next most prolific live tournament money winner from Belarus has $3.3 million in lifetime winnings.

“I am delighted to be joining Team partypoker," Bodyakovskiy told HighStakesDB. “To be part of a team like this is a true honour for me. I will  try to add my own expertise to help improve the game of poker across the world.”

That partypoker team includes Ike Haxton, Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and chairman Mike Sexton. In addition to his role as a sponsored pro, Bodyakovskiy will also join the above-named players on partypoker's newly-formed Player Panel.

The panel will work to improve communication between partypoker and its players. Panel members will have considerable input in shaping policies and improving the overall playing experience for partypoker loyalists.

Not a Fish

Bodyakovskiy's moniker at partypoker, “fish2013,” is certainly a misnomer. The 26-year old has online winnings over $200k and will likely spend more time on the virtual felt after being named to the partypoker team.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Nikita to Team partypoker," said managing director Tom Waters. "Nikita is one of the most respected players in the world and has recorded some incredible results in such a short space of time."

Bodyakovskiy was also respected as a chess player in his youth. The strategic thinking required to excel at chess is transferable to poker, as is evidenced by Nikita's success at the game.
