Declining a deal during heads-up action proved to be the right move for Anton Morgenstern as he took down the AU$25,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the Aussie Millions for the largest cash of his career at $382K (AU$530,640).

The victory was of the comeback variety after the German found himself staring at an almost 4-1 chip disadvantage to Farid Jattin heads-up. A couple of double-ups turned the tide, however, and Jattin was keen to make a deal after Morgenstern pulled even.
The German said "Nein," intent on going for the top prize rather than chop the roughly $625,000 in combined 1st and 2nd place prize money. He and Jattin played it out and Morgenstern prevailed, leaving the Colombian with the runner-up prize of AU$337,680 ($243,130), which puts him just $50K shy of $4 million in cashes for his career.
