Massive Turnout and Prizes at the Global Poker Sunday Majors
There was huge prizemoney up for grabs yesterday in the Global Poker Sunday majors, with a 25% increase in entries for both the Teaser and Scrimmage boosting the total prizefunds close to SC$100k… and all this while the Grizzly Games was strutting its stuff too!

Players from as far afield as Hawaii, New York and Kansas turned out in force for the US-facing site’s Sunday biggies, a 3pm Eastern time kick off for the Sunday Teaser seeing 315 entries and an extra SC$11.5k over the SC$20,000 Global Poker guarantee.
The 5-hour plus battle would eventually see 54 Sunday grinders in the money, and a deep run by Global Gym Poker producing a 9th place finish and SC$538.65 for the Hawaiian – a first big cash of the year for the islander.
Ten times the SC$110 buy-in was SirDonk’s reward for his 7th spot, while the Illinois duo of Beau137 and LarikJoker boosted their bankrolls considerably with 6th and 5th respectively.
With a SC$6k top prize, there was no let-up in the final table action, and eventually it was WuTangMiles of Kansas who secured the biggest payday, seeing off Texan Hesgotthejack heads-up for a Sunday Teaser title win.

Just as the Teaser was hitting the money, the flagship SC$218 buy-in Sunday Scrimmage was opening its doors, 332 runners walking through to stake a claim to SC$66,400 in prizemoney – again well-above the Global Poker SC$50k guarantee.
A five-figure top prize was the ultimate goal, with two New Yorkers, two Californians and a slew of Sunday hopefuls from all points of the US compass battling it out at the final table.
USA_Soldier_Father from Florida was the one outsider, but he took down 6th spot and almost SC$3k for his fine showing, all the East-coasters having hit the rail before him.
Tennessee’s Poker_arsenist crashed and burned in 3rd, but his SC$6,972 will help to douse the flames of missing out on the Sunday Scrimmage title quite nicely.
His departure left the Californian pair of Bar None and Felixingenium to slug it out for top honours, and when the dust had settled on the 6 hour tournament battle it was the ingenious Felixingenium who emerged victorious – a whopping SC$12,708.96 return for a great day’s play.
