partypoker LIVE Forms Partnership with Triton Poker Series

Continuing its strategy toward growth and armed with the potential to eventually become the worlds top poker site, partypoker forged yet another alliance, this time teaming up with the popular Triton Poker Series.

The deal calls for partypoker LIVE to serve as the tour partner of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series beginning with the upcoming tour stop in Montenegro next month. The pairing will result in the partypoker brand getting plenty of exposure during the festival as the two new partners provide excellent high stakes content to poker players and fans.

"partypoker and Triton partnering up is another giant leap forward for the high rollers and for the poker world in general," stated partypoker ambassador Jason Koon. “When it comes to playing live poker tournaments there is nothing like going to one of Triton's stops. The action is endless, the stakes are the highest in the world."

Koon's favoritism toward Triton Poker SHR events took shape in 2018 when he won over $5 million at Triton festivals during the year. He cashed for more than $1.5 million in JeJu, South Korea in July and was even more prolific in Montenegro last May when he captured a title in a Short Deck Ante Only tournament for $3,579,836.

Of course, you will find Jason at the Maestral Casino & Resort in Montenegro from May 5-17 where he aims to build on his past Triton successes. There are 10 events on the Triton Poker SHR schedule next month, six of which are designated as Short Deck Poker.

The new partnership between Triton and partypoker began taking shape perhaps as early as last month when partypoker announced that it was rolling out Short Deck Poker tables at its site, adding that its online version would replicate the identical "Ante Only" format found at Triton Poker SHR festivals.

"When I first saw Triton's events and the quality of their streaming, I just knew we could work really well together," said partypoker LIVE president John Duthie. "You can just tell that they see things the same way as us and that it's not all ‘business’. This shared love of the game will create something really, really special and I can't wait to see the outcome!”

Echoing those sentiments was Triton Poker Series founder Richard Yong, who called the partnership "a great and natural collaboration." Yong also stated that he expects partypoker Team Pros "to put in the usual strong performances," jokingly adding that "maybe someone can stop Jason [Koon] this time though!”
