That cash will be redistributed to players affected by the bots, with $143,908.10 headed to .com loyalists and another €34,546.17 to .eu players. Of the 94 account closures, 55 were from the ring-fenced market of Spain and France (.eu), while 39 were found to be cheating on the .com site.

The bot crackdown is part of partypoker's mission to make the site a safe and fair place to play poker. The latest action covers the entire month of April and comes on the heels of a 4-month period between December 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019 that saw 277 accounts banned and reimbursement to players totaling $734,852.

Players Have a Role

Twenty of the 94 accounts closed in April were a direct result of partypoker players noticing suspicious play and dutifully reporting it. The poker room encourages players to continue to be on the lookout for nefarious activity and to send an email to upon spotting suspected bots or collusion. All incidents and reports will be investigated.

The Poker Fraud Team is made up of former poker pros who are skilled at recognizing play that's of the non-human variety. The team will continue to ban bots, seize funds, and update players with regard to account closures and refunds on a monthly basis.
