Team Online’s Jaime Staples Lands a Big Second in partypoker KO Series

There were some excellent showings by the partypoker crew in the KO Series last night, with Team Online’s newest recruit Jaime Staples just missing out on a title and Team pro Joao Simao taking a 4th spot finish…

It was the last chance to grab some trophies and money before the massive final day kicked off today (Sunday) and for the partypoker ‘stream team’ there are bragging rights to be won, although we’ll have to wait a little while to see how far up the standings Jaime’s result leapfrogs him…

There had already been a rash of Team Online cashes yesterday, three of the team making the money in the same $109 tournament, Kevin Martin proudly sharing the success of the Canadian diamond trio…

There was to be even bigger success, the elder of the partypoker-streaming Staples brother’s deep run coming in the $100k guaranteed Mix-Max, the Canadian one of 175 hoping to lock up some regular and rake-free bounty winnings.

Leaving the likes of highstakes reg porsche911sp in the rear mirror is always a good sight, and Jaime went on to claim the runner-up spot and almost $12k, with the winner Hahaha_Owned grabbing almost $16k in bounties to add to his regular prizemoney.

A bit higher up the stakes and it was partypoker Team pro Joao Simao who was once again deep in the hunt for a title, the $1050buy-in, $200k GTD HR MixMax featuring some of the week’s hottest players, DripLord fresh from a Friday title win, with onehundredeyes and Multifate also in the mix.

The Brazilian has been battling the site’s biggest and best for a while now, so his eventual 4th place finish is hardly a surprise, with over $3k in bounties to add to his almost $10k regular payout. The UK’s Saiid92izi would go on to lift the trophy and over $45k.

Rounding out the Saturday night action was another $530 MixMax, this time with a $150k guarantee and a slower format.

With 310 entries, it took 9 hours to separate the best from the rest and it was Netherland’s pro SHHHHHHHHHH77 who scooped the trophy and a $25k+ payout after edging out Brazil’s felipecv heads-up..

We’ll be back with more KO Series results tomorrow, the final day seeing a massive $7million in guarantees and sure to bring out partypoker’s finest for the series finale!
