Fresh from the success of their Montenegro stop earlier this month, the Triton Poker SHR crew are gearing up for a nine-day extravaganza in England’s capital city – although exact details are thin on the ground as of yet.

What is known is that the £1million buy-in charity event running from August 1 until August 3 tops the previous record for a poker tournament, the €1 million ($1.1 million) Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza in 2016.

The $1million buy-in versions of the Big One for One Drop held at the World Series of Poker in 2102, 2014 and last year, 2018, will also be nudged down the list.

The 2012 version, won by Antonio Esfandiari for more than $18million, produced the biggest prize-fund so far from the top 5 listed, with 48 entries and a massive $42million+ in payouts.

The Montenegro stop on the tour, following Jeju in South Korea earlier in the year, produced over $42million in total prizemoney, Lee Davy playing the Triton numbers game below…

With Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates, Triton ambassadors Jason Koon and Tom Dwan, and a host of Asian talent among the almost 700 entries, the popularity of Triton Poker SHR Series, combined with London as the destination, could easily see two big records broken in one swoop.

The Triton SHR crew, led by founder Richard Yong, have promised more details soon.
