Jorden Fox Earns $420,693 and First Bracelet in $1K Double Stack NLHE

His status as chipleader over 11 players heading into an extended Day 3 of Event #22: $1,000 Double Stack No-Limit Holdem remained intact as Jorden Fox sealed the deal to win his first WSOP gold bracelet and $420,693.

The victory just about doubled Fox's lifetime live tournament winnings that now stand at $830,559. Slightly more than 1/3 of that total came in the 2018 WSOP Main Event when Jorden enjoyed a deep run, finishing 27th for $282,630.

Event #22 attracted 3,253 entries that combined to make a $2,927,700 prize pool. Paydays went to 485 players.

Fox told WSOP reporters that the Double Stack was the last of three events that he would play this summer. He is set to be a daddy next month and didn't want to be away from his wife for too long.

When Fox passes out cigars in July, perhaps he will remember some of his fellow final tablists such as Jeffrey Smith, who finished 3rd, and runner-up Jayachandra Gangaiah. A key hand saw Smith get his pocket aces cracked by Fox, whose A-Q connected for a set when two queens hit the board.

When only Fox and Gangaiah remained, the eventual winner had a huge lead in chips. Despite a valiant effort by Jayachandra, Fox will be heading back home to California with a gold bracelet and $420K.

Final Table Results
