Ismael Bojang Strikes Gold on 10th WSOP Cash for $298K in PLO

The 10th cash of the 2019 WSOP was by far the best for Ismael Bojang as he won his first gold bracelet and took home top prize money of $298,507 in Event #40: $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha.

It was min-cash city the first nine in the money finishes for Bojang at this summer's festival, his biggest tally recorded as $6,054 for finishing 245th in the $500 buy-in "Big Fofty". That is, until he topped 1,216 entrants who combined to create a $1,641,600 prize pool in PLO.

Along with his first WSOP title, Bojang pushed his lifetime earnings to more than $3.5 million. His best ever cash remains the $313,444 for his runner-up finish in $2,500 NLHE at last year's WSOP.

Ismael eliminated Benjamin Zamani in 3rd place when he flopped a straight. Zamani missed his flush draw and settled for $131,335 in prize money.

Heads-up action between Bojang and James Little began with the eventual winner holding a roughly 2-1 chip advantage. Like Bojang, Little has also been prolific at cashing at the 2019 WSOP, recording his eighth payday in Event #40. That payday turned out to be 2nd place prize money of $184,424.
