Michael Mizrachi Wants To Be “The Person Who Won the Most $50Ks”

Michael Mizrachi has stated his ambition to go down in history as the person who won the most 50Ks. After winning three of them in the last nine years it is a fair bet that he will add to that total sooner, rather than later.

The high-stakes grinder recently picked up his fifth World Series of Poker gold bracelet in a $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better event. Afterwards it was noted that this is the first time Mizrachi has won a bracelet for an event under $10,000. So, until a fortnight ago, three out of four bracelets were for super high rollers. That’s quite insane for a guy who has won more than $17 million playing poker tournaments.

Mizrachi now stands at ninth on the PocketFives list of Greatest WSOP Players in History. For more perspective, there are only 26 players in history who have won five bracelets or more. An incredible achievement.

Another, perhaps more important, detail that was brought up after his victory was the one bracelet lead he has over older brother Robert. By the sounds of it this is more meaningful than the $10 million lead in prize money Michael currently carries.

For the rest of the summer there are a lot more tournaments to be played. One thing is for certain though, Michael Mizrachi only has his eye on one prize before he goes home - one more victory in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship. Can he extend his record breaking performance in these super high roller events? We sure don’t recommend betting against him.
