Gus Hansen has been putting himself through the mill once again. He always thinks it is gonna be a great summer, but he could be making things a little easier for himself. This time he is trying to make things great by sitting in a four-handed game against Matt Ashton, Timofey Trueteller Kuznetsov, and Crazy Elior Sion.

Tough as nails!

There are certainly less painful ways to spend your evening than dicing with some of the most feared beasts you can find in a live poker room. Hansen reckons this lot are “Tough as nails!” Their combined $10 million in live tournament winnings actually matches Hansen’s own personal score, but these guys have some serious edge in a high-stakes cash game.

A few days after this session took place the Great Dane was telling his followers it’s time for a break from the tables - only for 14 hours though. He said “a crushing blow has been delivered”.  A reported six-figure loss is enough to make your eyes water, no matter how deep your pockets are.

We all know just how game Gus Hansen is. This minor setback won’t keep him from squaring up against all-comers. It certainly will be a great summer!
