Hansen Busts $50k PPC But Secures 6 Figure Bobby's Room Win

Gus Hansen has been facing up to more woe in Las Vegas. Will it still be a great summer? Of course he still thinks so. A new Justin Bonomo style haircut did not have the desired effect in the end, and so off it came and it was back to the drawing board.

Twelve hands into Day 2 of the $50,000 buy-in Poker Players Championship Gus was heading for the door after being knocked out by Ike Haxton. It was a standard match up of ace-king versus pocket queens and Ike got just what he needed. Game over.

After that debacle, there was only one thing left to do, wasn’t there? You guessed it, it was time to get straight down to Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio Casino and get some serious high-stakes degen cash game action.

The standard advice is never to go and play cash after you’ve been knocked out of a tournament. Gus reckons that’s not the case when it’s gonna be a great summer! A cheeky six-figure win has not only replaced the $50,000 buy-in but also added a little impetus to get back on the cash game horse and entertain us all some more.
