Nicholas "Illari" Baris a Winner in $1K Online Event for $303,738

Another winner has emerged in the 1-day online tournaments at the 2019 WSOP as Nicholas Illari Baris overcame 1,750 entrants in Event #68: $1,000 ONLINE NLHE Championship to claim a huge score of $303,738.75.

The final hand saw Baris holding pocket queens and runner-up Tara "bertperton" Cain pocket nines, with the ladies holding up to force Cain to accept $187,530 in prize money. It likely wasn't the finish that Tara envisioned when the final table began and she held nearly half the chips in play, according to WSOP reporters.

Illari bagged his first WSOP gold bracelet and did so against a final table that included Chris "Camdi" Ferguson and David "YoungPitts" Baker. "Jesus" collected $38,736.25 for 7th place while "Bakes" earned $96,092.50 for 4th place.

The prizepool totaled $1,662,500 and was shared by 180 players, with the tournament concluding in slightly less than 12 hours. That seems like a walk in the park compared to the live events that go on for days.

Final results:

1 Nicholas "Illari" Baris $303,738.75
