Just one online bracelet event remains at the 2019 WSOP after Shawn bucky21 Buchanan snared his first World Series of Poker title and $223,119 in prize money on the virtual felt in Event #76: $800 NLHE 6-Handed.

Buchanan had flirted with WSOP glory previously, landing runner-up in bracelet events three times from 2010-11. Those scores included $812,941 in a $25K NLHE, $376,458 in a $10K HORSE, and $277,357 in a $10K Mixed NLHE at the WSOPE. This was the Canadian's 9th cash of the summer and his live tournament winnings are fast approaching $7 million.

Shawn's online championship was won in slightly more than 11 hours over 1,560 entrants. The top challenger among those entrants was David "Youngpitts" Baker, who finished runner-up for $137,241. "Bakes" landed 4th in a $1K online event a week ago for $96,093.

In fact, players named David Baker ("ODB" and "Bakes"), have combined to finish in the 1st thru 5th slots in various tournaments at the 50th annual WSOP, with ODB nabbing his first bracelet in $1,500 LHE (Event #66) for $161,139.

While the Baker boys are certainly fabulous, the spotlight of this event belongs to Buchanan. He led the final table in chips and collected even more ammo by eliminating Jeremy "gimmiehaveit" Brown in 6th place and Luigi Andrea "BananaSplit" Shehadeh in 5th, hitting a flush on the river in the latter KO.

Baker then disposed of the next two combatants, resulting in a heads-up battle with Buchanan. The Canadian prevailed with pocket jacks on the last hand as the board ran out with nothing but bricks for Bakes and his A-10.

Final Table Results:

1 Shawn "bucky21" Buchanan $223,119
2 David "Youngpitts" Baker $137,241
3 Hunter "ibinkustink" Gebron $96,993
4 Alexandre "Apalexpex" Moreira $69,381
5 Luigi Andrea "BananaSplit" Shehadeh $50,310
6 Jeremy "gimmiehaveit" Brown $37,089
