Phil Ivey Busts Twice as Bicknell Shines in Triton €100K

Triton Pokers €100K SHR at partypoker’s Millions Europe stop saw some amazing action early on day two, Phil Ivey hitting the rail twice – the first bustout courtesy of an incredible hand…

By: Andrew Burnett

Burns: A♦ A♠
Ivey: K♦ K♠
Zhang: A♣ Q♣
Bicknell: Q♥ Q♠

Poker hands don’t get much more dramatic than that, and for Bicknell it suddenly got a whole lot better…

Flop: J♣ 7♠ Q♦

It was far from all over, though, the dealer offering up…

Turn: 10♦

…which meant the partypoker pro had to avoid a king or nine, which she somehow managed in the hand of the event so far…

River: 10♣

♠ ♣ ♥ ♦

Ivey immediately rebought, but his second €100K bullet didn’t last long, running into Cary Katz’s flopped set – the latter on his third bullet as late registration closed.

Charlie Carrel and Tony G were two others who exited earlier today, as did partypoker pro Sam Trickett – another monster hand accounting for the Englishman at the hands of overnight chip leader Igor Kurganov

Kurganov: K♣ K♦
Trickett: Q♥ Q♣
Siow: 10♣ 10♦

Board: 9♠ 2♣ 6♣ 7♣ 7♥

That launched Kurganov back to the top of the leaderboard, with Bicknell now the only partypoker pro left in the mix, chasing the €1,040,000 top prize.
