Ivan Gabrieli Takes Down partypoker MILLIONS Europe High Roller for €250,000

Ivan Gabrieli scooped the partypoker MILLIONS Europe High Roller in Rozvadov, the victory worth €250,000 - five times the Italians previous best cash…

A star-studded field assembled in Kings Casino for the €10k buy-in tournament, including 2013 WSOP Main Event champ Ryan Riess, David Peters, Pierre Neuville and Czech’s own WSOP star, Vojtech Ruzicka, who placed 5th in 2016.

By the time they had reached day two, the 101 entries had just covered the €1million guarantee, and 14 players returned to fight it out for the money – Team partypoker pro Ludovic Geilich joining the names above.

The Scotsman made the money comfortably – 11 spots paid with that €¼ million up top – and hung in for an excellent 3rd place and €114,500 cash, fellow Scot Niall Farrell on the rail to congratulate him…this time without subtitles!

With highroller expert David Peters having fallen in 4th for €90,000, that left just Michael Addamo and Gabrieli to battle it out for the High Roller crown, the pair overshadowed somewhat by the Main Event paying out just in the background.

A victory would have taken Melbourne pro Addamo through the $6million career tournament earnings barrier, but he eventually had to settle for second after a tough heads-up fight.

Final Payouts

1 Ivan Gabrieli €250,000
2 Michael Addamo €165,000
3 Ludovic Geilich €114,500
4 David Peters €90,000
5 Anton Morgenstern €70,000
6 Vladimir Troyanovskiy €55,000
7 Hans Thumann €45,000
8 Jeff Gross €35,000
9 Ryan Riess €25,000
