Big Game and Bicknell Shine in partypoker Sunday Grind

partypokers Big Game returned yesterday, the $500k guarantee quickly crushed as 119 players chased a top prize of close to $150,000 – SleevePatrol emerging victorious, while partypoker Team pro Kristen Bicknell landed a big win of her own on the Sunday high roller schedule.

Kicking off with The Big Game, that field of 119 paying $5200 per head produced a prizefund of $595,000 – the top two spots looking at six-figure scores.

In at the deep end were some familiar names, AndreyBolkonsky and NewYorkJimmY (11th and 10th for $14,875 each) with CalmDownMan grabbing 7th place for a $23,800 cash.

The first $50k+ score went to 4th-placed kgroqigmqtbmq and when BlueMagic1 fell in 3rd for $74,375, it left SleevePatrol and TheUndecided to fight it out heads-up for the title.

SleevePatrol came through for a whopping $145,775 win, while runner-up had to be content with a $104,125 payday.

The $530 buy-in Sunday High Roller Grind proved to be just that, a ten-and-a-half hour slugfest that saw partypoker Team pro Kristen Krissy_Bricknel Bicknell emerge triumphant.

The Canadian star was one of 242 entrants and had to fight off the challenge of some well-known names, Greenstone25 making the final table (finishing 7th for $3751).

Bicknell saw off TheOptimist for the victory and bagged the top prize of $24,671, second place worth $17,908.

We’ll get to the popular PKO tournaments in a moment, but first there was the $1050 buy-in High Roller Masters to contend with, 233 entries and yet another guarantee exceeded.

With $233k up for grabs, SunTzu applied the Art of War principles to make it to second place, unable to overcome Achtungdiekurve, the latter taking victory and $47,508.

The $2100 buy-in Sunday High Roller Gladiator is always a favourite of the Sunday grind for the big boys and girls on partypoker, and this weekend was no exception.

A PKO tournament, yesterday saw 176 entries and a $360,800 prizefund, split almost equally between Bounty payments and regular prizemoney.

The rake-free, head-hunting bonuses served CalmDownMan well, a 13th place $2288 cash tripled with a $4528 Bounty cash, but the star of the day was undoubtedly Jizoint.

The winner scooped a remarkable $51,715 from the Bounty pool after seeing off bfklg heads-up – the top pair taking some $32k and change from the regular prizefund.

That’s about it from yesterday’s big tournamnts on partypoker, but there was some huge news to follow – Rob Yong bringing back the $1million guaranteed partypoker Sunday MILLION after a 13-year break! More on this later today…
