Anonymous Pro Patrick Crushes the partypoker Highstakes Sunday Grind

While the partypoker software may have decided to create mayhem in the $1million Sunday, the rest of the Sunday grind ran smooth as you like, especially for highstakes reg Patrick, who landed to huge titles and more than $160,000…

The $500k GTD High Roller Sunday Big Game drew in 101 entries, making it a cool $123,725 up top as the world’s best online MTT players battled it out in the $5200 buy-in NLHE tournament.

Shaun 'Shaundeeb' Deeb was in the mix as the final table took shape, his disappointment at missing out on the WSOP Player of the Year title in Rozvadov lessened somewhat by a big 5th place payout of $32,825 in the Big Game.

Heads-up had more than $200k on the line, and Forrest_guuump had to settle for the runner-up share, an $88,375 cash, while anonymous highstakes beast Patrick scooped the victor’s pot of $123,725.

It was a night to remember for the online pro, just five minutes earlier finishing off the High Roller Sunday Masters for another huge win.

This time 199 entries appeared for the $1050 buy-in, $200k GTD tournament, and by 4am it had come down to a heads-up fight for the title between Patrick and Kenny SpaceyFCB Hallaert.

The legendary Belgian pro and tournament director had to settle for second best, a $29,600 cash to relieve the pain of missing out on the win, and that made it two out of two for a rampant Patrick - $40,780 to add to his day’s haul.

There were a couple of huge PKO tournaments on the go as well, the $2100 buy-in High Roller Gladiator just falling short of its $300k guarantee.

With roughly $150k in each of the rake-free Bounty and Regular prizepools, it made for some healthy action as the tournament came down to a final table of online beasts.

Jizoint, who took down last Sunday’s Big Game title and $122k walked off with 6th spot yesterday, adding a symmetrical $7k in bounties to his $7k regular prizemoney.

One place higher we saw fromHolland1945 have another deep run, last weekend’s Sunday Masters victor adding $12k+ for 5th place.

Up top the battle came down to a heads-up match between Cowboy_Frank and AndreyBolkonsky, and the latter prevailed to scoop a win after several near misses.

The victory was a huge one, some $44,378 in Bounty payments – a third of the Bounty prizepool – to add to the $28,704 regular prize.

Our final look at the partypoker highstakes grind from the weekend centres on the $200k GTD Gladiator, another of the site’s popular PKO tournaments.

With 190 entries and played in a Fast format, the final table was reached after 4 and a half hour’s play, the 8th place finisher R_Romanello apparently not the partypoker Team Pro, Welsh Wizard Roberto Romanello.

The biggest winner turned out to be bitw1 who scooped a whopping $32,573 in Bounty payments to add to the 1st-place prize of $18,550, seeing off Tussutappaja heads-up for the win.

That’s it for another week at the partypoker highstakes MTT tables, but we’ll be back next Monday with another round-up of all the action.
