The original Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida has played host to literally hundreds of poker events across a decade and a half, but its new sibling dwarfs it in every way.

The 638-room guitar tower can be seen from as far away as Miami on a good day, and as James Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming and chairman of Hard Rock International, explained: “We’re building something that’s an attraction…it’s not just gaming, not slots in a box.”

An expanded 195,000-square-foot casino and 7,000-person, Broadway-ready entertainment venue form part of the incredible vision, with a man-made beach, nineteen different restaurants and a 13.5-acre water oasis included in the complex.

The opening night saw Johnny Depp and Khloe Kardashian among the celebrities enjoying the party atmosphere…

…and just to show that poker has a very bright future in the ‘guitar’, the Seminole Hard Rock’s new poker room put on a celebrity cash game of their own to celebrate, with partypoker Team online pro Gross joined by Jason and Natasha Mercier

CEO Jim Allen explained the thinking behind the astounding new guitar-shaped complex: “We created an integrated resort because the gaming industry will change in the next 10 to 15 years. This isn’t the Las Vegas strip. We want this to be a reason to come here.”
